A Word From Israel

Transcript

I want to introduce you to Chaim in a moment off the back of the video I published the day before I headed to Israel [Brexit: In His Mercy].

First off I met an incredible brother called Nikolai from Bulgaria. He asked me what my thoughts were on Brexit, and so I presented my case in a few sentences, akin to my Brexit video about the EU reversing God’s ordained distinctions for nations at Babel etc. So then I ask him what he does for a living, and he says “I work for the EU”. And he’s just bought me a pint. We laughed and enjoyed a beer together and I look forward to connecting with him soon.

But anyway… after an incredible four days at a conference in Northern Israel, I’m travelling back to the airport with a few American brothers, one of which named Chad wishes to drop in to meet Chaim who is a Jewish follower of Yeshua (Jesus).

The moment I met Chaim I liked the guy. He is full of life, funny, intelligent, with a huge heart. He runs, and co-founded the Aliyah Return Center set in 14 acres near the southern end of the Sea of Galilee.

Aliyah means “the act of going up”. The Jewish people who were dispersed in the first century are now in the 21st century returning to the land of Israel – they are “making Aliyah” for all kinds of personal reasons. They feel this urge, this pull back to the land. And in doing so they are fulfilling prophecy.

So, Chaim gave us a tour of the centre that has such rich history.

After this, we then joined another local Jewish follower of Jesus at an amphitheatre on the Sea of Galilee, and the six of us did an impromptu worship and prayer session.

At the end, Chaim turned to me and said he had a word for me. In summary it was to say that God had not finished with the UK and he went into the history of the British empire and basically all the things that have been on my heart in recent months/years and precisely what I said in the Brexit video the day before I flew out.

I was stunned. He didn’t know anything about me other than I was from Manchester. So, I pulled out my phone immediately and asked if I could film him saying some of those things but perhaps more generic for the UK audience rather than personally for me. And so he did.. this is it. Totally unplanned, on the spot. One of the other guys is filming at the same time so apologies for the background sound. Everyone is in a good mood, so we’re having fun. Some guys are even making animal noises in the background.. but there is a serious message here. Anyway… here you go. Here is Chaim giving a Word from Israel to the UK.

Be encouraged.
